Three Ways to Layer This Fall + $725 to Nordstrom

Fall layers make me so happy. We're finally at that point here in NY where the sweater weather-air has rolled in and I love that I can mix and match my pieces through layering.

I shot this look in SoHo at the tail end of fashion week (real talk that yes, it's taken me this long to get these looks up on the blog). I actually brought this bell sleeve tee and this cami for two separate occasions - one for a casual morning and the other for a possible night out, but ended up loving the idea of putting them together.

1 / Cami x Tee

Layering a tee (long or short sleeve) with a cami is a great way to add some depth to an outfit. When it gets a bit chillier, I'll pair a look like this with a suede jacket or even a long sleeve tee in the coming weeks.

There are so many ways you can get creative through layering with pieces you already have in your closet!

2 / Sweater x Leather

Eventually we'll get to the point where a light sweater won't be enough but a heavy jacket will be too much. Helloooo, leather and suede jackets! Another great way to layer is with a cropped moto jacket. The key to this type of layering is for the layer to actually stand out, so think about wearing a sweater that is a bit longer than your jacket in order for the layer to pop. I've linked some of my favorite jackets below. (Image via The Boho Flow)

3 / Slipdress x Turtle Neck

I love that I don't have to put away my slipdresses just yet! Layering a slipdress with a turtleneck is one of my favorite styles to experiment with in the Fall, because it's so easy to mix and match. Once it gets a bit chillier, trade in your turtle neck for a cozy sweater. I've linked a few great slipdresses for this time of year.  (Image via Chriselle Lim)

These are some extraordinary styling thoughts! Slip dresses are one of my most loved layering pieces. I hadn’t thought of the cami over a tee. Fall is my favourite season.
