This weekend was all about #fallfeels. Though we had miserable weather, the rain held off, leaving us some time to enjoy the crisp fall air. Is it me or did fall come in with a serious bang? Last weekend I was talking about OTS tops and transitional pieces, and now I’m living in my sweats and scarves. Yet I don’t hate it, because with this weather change comes so many things that I love – Cinnamon-spiced candles, apple turnovers, cozy Sunday dinners, and of course, over-the-knee boots.
So many trends come and go but over-the-knee boots have made themselves at home. What I love about OTK-boots versus shorter boots that hit under the knee are those few extra inches which, yes, make a difference. They keep you extra-cozy with a pair of jeans, and expose just enough leg with a mini-dress or skirt.
I love Steve Madden’s Orabela because of their nice wide calf (I don’t have to worry about wearing my tightest pair of skinnies) and wooden block heel; give me a block heel-anything and I’ll love it. I paired these with my first pair of Levis (which I’m obsessed with by the way…the 711 skinny is the way to go), another one of my beloved Free People thermals, and my newest obsession from Madewell.
