Lace Up & Length

The return of 70’s style has revived a number of classic trends, bringing them to the forefront of fashion. One of which I’m particularly loving at the moment is lace up. I have to admit when the lace up trend initially re-emerged, I wasn’t convinced. However, a few RTW pieces caught my eye and I saw the possibility of bringing them into my wardrobe as edgy staples. A neutral girl at heart, I’ve only made way in my closet for black pieces. I’m not ready to budge on that one just yet.

Keeping it casual, I paired my top (which is actually a bodysuit!) with my favorite pair of black destroyed denim, this long grey cardi & my go-to BP ankle boots

On the subject of cardis…

The era of the classic short cardigan is over (well – at least in my mind it is). In the past year, my sweater collection has morphed into long, open pieces, and I don’t hate it. You get the comfort of a lengthy, flowy piece paired with an elegant statement. Not to mention the pairing with skinnies, flares or even makes it a win in the versatility department. Yes, there is a #versatilitydepartment…and I’m all about it.
