How to Style a Longline Vest

LONGLINE VEST / BELL SLEEVE BLOUSE (50% off!) / SKINNIES / SUEDE BOOTS (30% off!) / SUNNIES (sold out, similar)

I’m always looking for a third piece to add to my outfits and vests are one of my favorite accessories to play around with. In the past, vests would come out of the woodwork come September as fall rolled in, but with the longline style, we see a piece that can be worn all year round! Honestly, how many pieces can you say you can rock for four straight seasons?

Styling a longline vest can be tricky because of its length, but I’ve got you covered with three ways to style this versatile piece.

1. Let it Flow

I’m all about a flowy, boho look and styling a longline vest with a looser-fitting top screams 70s vibes (in a good way, of course)! Try pairing this piece with a bell sleeve or a babydoll-type top for a boho-chic look. If you’re letting it flow on top, be sure to balance it out on the bottom. I opted for skinnies and OTK boots!

2. Dress it Up

Whether you’re wearing a maxi dress , mini-skirt or something cocktail-length, a longline vest is a great way to add an extra layer to your look. Think of it as a modern twist on the blazer…something a little more fun! Pop on your favorite pair of heels or booties to add some length to your legs and you’re good to go!

3. Keep it Casual

One of my favorite ways to rock a longline is to add it to a casual look. How easy is it to throw on jeans and a tee? Take the extra step to add a vest and voila! Your look just got a major upgrade. Wear it with a pair of sneakers or take it in the other direction with a great pair of pumps. Pairing classic with casual is a win-win.

Which style are you most-likely to wear? (Shop some of my faves below!)
