How to Road Trip & Stay Chic

Hello Readers of Pineapple and Prosecco!

I’m excited to share with you all of my top ways to stay chic while road tripping! I’ve had my fair share of road tripping experiences (honestly, too many!) and throughout the years I’ve learned some valuable lessons. Road trips can be a lot of fun, and of course they’re way cheaper than flying! However they also have the potential to make you feel not so glamorous.

Get Comfortable Chic

When choosing your outfit, you of course want to wear something that is super comfortable. Leave your ratty sweats behind and instead pick something that is delightfully soft and stylish. H&M has amazing options for pants that are chic and so comfortable! Instead of your gym tennies, Keds or cute sandals will make your outfit feel more sophisticated. When you arrive, you can easily add dramatic bangles and earrings to make your outfit.

Don’t Sweat Hair & Makeup

Even if you spend a long time prepping your hair before you leave, it’s probably going be in need of some TLC after all those hours in the car! Make sure you pack a stylish hat for when you arrive. I am so in love with big floppy hats right now, they provide instant glam! Go light on your makeup; 8 hours in the car has never been friendly to a smoky eye! Stash a dramatic lip color you can apply on-the-go.

Refresh!

Pack makeup wipes and your go-to perfume in your purse. Once you arrive, a moist towelette will make your skin feel so revitalized! A spritz or two of your favorite perfume will help you feel fresh and ready for a night out.

Snack Healthily

When you’re on the road it can be so easy to indulge in a bunch of junk food. Stop! Resist! Those cheetos may taste delicious, but they’ll make you feel sluggish and kinda gross. There are great road trip snack options that won’t make you feel bloated, but instead will help you feel healthy, fresh and awake! Load up on smart waters, naked juices, nuts, beef jerky, and of course lots of coffee 😉
