Well, I've officially moved on to my next obsession of the season. The wedges, the flats, the sneakers, the slip ons...I literally cannot get enough of espadrilles.
Espadrilles are a style I owned wayyy back in the day, and I'm so excited that we're seeing so many fun styles by some of my favorite designers coming into the spotlight. There's something about the retro-esque platform, with major 70s vibes that I just adore.
I've linked a ton of my favorite pairs below (simply click on the "+" to shop!) and have also included some important buying tips if this is your first time purchasing!
What are your thoughts on this trend, and what is your favorite style of the bunch?

If you've never shopped for espadrilles, make sure to do your research on the material make up of the shoe! Traditional espadrilles are made of 100% cotton canvas, which means that they will (and should) fit very snug when you first slip them on. So much so that you'd probably take them right off and go for the next half to whole size up. Like a new pair of 100% cotton denim, you have to give cotton canvas espadrilles a few wears before you find your perfect fit! That being said, they will stretch out, and should be a-okay after breaking them in!
Designers have also expanded past the traditional cotton canvas, experimenting with materials like suede and leather. Some of these materials might actually run a half size smaller than you would normally wear. My best advice is to do your research, and read as many reviews as possible!
