Husband and I have been spending most of our weekends at our summer home in Montauk, and as overwhelming as the August crowds are, escaping the summer heat for the cool ocean breezes is so worth it. Can you believe there’s almost a 10 degree temperature difference being only two hours away?!
Maxi dresses and Montauk go hand-in-hand, and this season, I’ve finally thrown in the towel and decided to embrace florals. I’m not really sure why I was never one for floral prints; I guess they reminded me of something ‘old’…like our Thanksgiving tablecloth or an outdated sweater. Nonetheless, I’ve found my floral style and now can’t get enough of colorful, tropical prints like the ones on this dress I’m wearing.
End of summer and early fall is such a great time of year for maxis; not only because it starts to get a bit cooler at night, but also because they are a beautiful transitional piece when paired with fall accessories. In a few weeks, I’ll throw this one with a light brown leather jacket and I’m good to go!
